Constant Current LED Drivers

Constant current drivers supply a fixed current output rather than a fixed voltage. Provided you do not overload the driver, it will always deliver that set current to the LEDs connected to it, which is what power LEDs need to hit their rated brightness and lifetime.

Because the current stays fixed, you can wire several LEDs in series on one driver. The driver automatically varies its output voltage, up and down within its rated limit, to keep the correct voltage reaching each LED as long as the total load stays within the driver's maximum power rating.

This range includes drivers from Philips, Osram, Boke and Lifuid in various wattages, from small replacement power supplies through to units built for panels, tubes and downlights. Options vary by housing type, dimmability and adjustable current settings.
