Ordering, delivery, returns and accounts. If the answer you need is not here, call 024 7767 5575 and we will deal with it directly.

How do I get in touch?

Call us on 024 7767 5575. For LED and lighting queries email sales@ledison-led-lights.co.uk. For solar, off-grid, battery, inverter or power queries email sales@voltacon.com. Sending to the right address means your question reaches the team that knows the product.

Where are you based?

Our warehouse and office is at Unit 5B Paragon Way, Exhall, Coventry CV7 9QS. This is also our returns and collection address.

How much does delivery cost and how long does it take?

Delivery is worked out from what is actually in your basket rather than a flat fee, so a box of downlights does not pay pallet money. The exact figure appears at checkout before you pay. Small items go out by courier and arrive within 3 to 5 working days to most mainland UK addresses. Panels, batteries and bulk lighting travel by pallet freight instead, typically 2 to 5 working days, and the freight company contacts you directly to arrange a date. Starting prices run from £3.99 for cable, connectors and small parts up to £125.00 for complete off-grid and storage systems. The full list, along with Northern Ireland, the islands and international rates, is on our delivery information page.

What is your returns policy?

Consumers have 30 days to return an item. After that window a 15% restocking fee applies. This 30-day right is a consumer protection and does not apply to business or trade customers, since distance-selling rights are for consumers only; trade returns are agreed case by case at our discretion.

What if an item arrives faulty?

Contact us and we will arrange collection. Please do not attempt to post large items such as panels or batteries back yourself. If an item is returned as faulty but found to be working on inspection, a £30 charge applies.

How long do refunds take?

Once a return is received and checked, refunds are processed within 1 to 5 working days. Our liability is limited to the price of the goods.

Do you offer trade accounts?

Yes. Pricing is tiered by volume and discussed on application, so get in touch with details of what you need. Full details are on our trade accounts page.

How long have you been trading?

Since 2011. We are certified to ISO9001 and ISO14001, and our lighting and power products have a history of supplying the Royal Navy and the wider marine industry.

LED lighting

Warranty, leasing and recycling for the lighting range.

What warranty comes with the LED range?

The whole LED lighting range carries a 5 year warranty. It applies across the range rather than to tubes or a subset of products. Full terms are on the warranty page.

Can I lease LED lighting instead of buying it outright?

Yes, LED leasing is available and quoted per project. Installation is carried out by NICEIC approved installers.

Do you take back old lamps and luminaires for recycling?

Yes. We are a member of the Recolight compliance scheme, which covers lamps and luminaires and offers free collection and recycling. The detail is on our WEEE and environmental page.

Solar and power

Warranty plus the inverter and battery questions our technical team answers most often. Model numbers and firmware versions vary, so call 024 7767 5575 if your menu does not match what you read here.

What warranty comes with solar and power products?

Solar and power products carry the warranty stated on the individual product listing, as this varies by item. Inverter warranty terms, including the extended options, are set out on the warranty page.

What does warning 69 mean on an off-grid inverter with a Pylontech battery?

This is a warning, not a fault. It means the battery is fully charged at the optimised voltage, and it only appears with Pylontech batteries such as the US2000. No action is needed.

What does error 60 mean?

Error 60 appears when power flows back into the inverter, usually because a motor or pump connected to the output is acting as a generator (for example, when braking). The inverter's current sensor detects this reverse flow and raises the error.

What does error 08 mean and how do I fix it?

Error 08 means the generator has spiked an over-voltage at the AC input, often because the generator is undersized for the inverter. Disconnect the AC input and run on solar and battery only. If the error clears, check the generator's parameters and fit the correct surge protection device at the AC input. If it persists after that, contact us to arrange a repair, as the main board is likely damaged.

What does error 57 mean on a 5kW 48V inverter?

On the 5kW 48V units error 57 normally sits with the control board rather than the main board, so the repair is smaller than the error code suggests. Send us the serial number and we will confirm the part before anything is stripped down.

What do errors 06 and 57 mean on a 12V MPPT inverter charger?

On the 12V MPPT inverter chargers both codes point at hardware on the main board, either the H-bridge or the switch mode power supply. A replacement main board is normally the only fix. Send us the model and serial number and we will tell you whether a repair is worth it or whether replacing the unit works out better.

My battery shows error 61 and will not communicate with the inverter. What is wrong?

Error 61 means the battery and inverter are not communicating and the BMS has not been set up correctly. Common causes are an incompatible battery, the wrong BMS cable, incorrect battery settings in the inverter menu, or the dip switches on the master battery not being set correctly. Use the BMS cable supplied with the inverter rather than the one supplied with the battery, set the battery type correctly in the inverter menu, and make sure only the master battery has dip switch 1 set to on. Contact our technical team if you are not confident making these changes yourself.

Communication has failed completely after a firmware problem. What now?

If the cabling, dip switches and battery profile all check out and the inverter still will not talk to the battery, the inverter's processor may need reflashing with current firmware from the manufacturer. This is not something to attempt blind, because the wrong file can leave the unit unusable. Call us with the model and firmware version and we will confirm the correct file or arrange for the unit to come in.

Which settings should I use for Pylontech batteries?

Use the inverter's Pylontech battery profile rather than a generic lead acid one, with the charge voltage around 53.2V and the charge current matched to how many packs you have. The menu numbers move between models and firmware versions, so rather than publish a list that may not match your unit, call us with the model and we will read the correct settings out to you.

What are the settings if I configure the battery manually?

For a manually configured US2000 bank the usual figures are 25A of charge current per pack, battery type set to user defined, cut-off around 48V, return to grid around 51V, bulk charge 53.2V and low battery around 47.5V. Check these against the manual that came with your inverter, as the program numbers differ between firmware versions.

Can I mix different Pylontech battery models in one system?

Yes, Pylontech US2000 and US3000 batteries can be used together in parallel. The battery's own BMS auto-adjusts charge current and voltage to protect against overcharging or overheating.

Can I run two off-grid inverters in parallel with one battery bank?

Yes. When paralleling inverters onto a shared battery bank, one inverter needs to be configured as master and the other as slave. If you are using Pylontech batteries, the inverter's BMS port handles this communication.

Can the grid and the inverter power my loads at the same time?

Yes. In the shared supply mode the output can be fed from solar and the grid together, which is useful when a load draws more than the array can deliver on its own. The trade-off is that the batteries will not charge while the system is running that way.

Can I set the inverter to charge batteries at night on a cheap electricity tariff?

Yes, off-grid inverters can be programmed to charge from the grid during specific overnight hours, for example to take advantage of a cheap night tariff. This does not need any special licence or paperwork, since the system does not feed power back to the grid. Contact our technical team for the specific menu settings for your inverter model, as these vary by model and firmware version.

Why do my AC charging times reset to 00:00?

On inverters with a built-in AC charger timer, opening the output source or charger source menus clears the timer back to 00:00. Set your charging window last, after any other menu changes, and it will stay put.
