How your order is delivered

Smaller items go out by courier and arrive within 3 to 5 working days to most mainland UK addresses. Larger or heavier goods, such as panels, batteries and bulk lighting orders, travel by pallet freight instead, and we book those in with you before they leave us.

What delivery costs

Shipping is worked out from what is actually in your basket rather than a flat fee, so a box of downlights does not pay pallet money. The exact figure appears at checkout before you pay. Starting prices to mainland UK:

  • Cable, connectors and small parts, from £3.99
  • Lighting up to 1 metre, from £7.99
  • Lighting over 1 metre, such as 4ft, 5ft and 8ft tubes and battens, from £18.50
  • Inverters, chargers and power electronics, from £10.00
  • Solar panels, from £15.00
  • Mounting rails and roof kits, from £20.00
  • Batteries and pallet goods, from £49.00
  • Complete off-grid and storage systems, from £125.00

Lighting is priced by the box, not by the item, so a full box costs no more to send than a part box. If your basket mixes categories, each one is priced on its own, because they leave us as separate parcels or pallets.

Pallet deliveries and oversized items

Pallet deliveries typically take an estimated 2 to 5 working days. Once your order is processed and ready to leave us, the freight company will contact you directly to arrange a suitable delivery date and time.

When a pallet arrives, check it before you sign for it. Look over the packaging and the item itself for any obvious damage from transit. If anything looks wrong, note it on the delivery paperwork and get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can sort it out.

Collecting your order

You can collect your order from our Coventry site at Unit 5B Paragon Way, Exhall, Coventry CV7 9QS. Choose 'Collect From Store' at checkout and we'll let you know as soon as your order is ready to be picked up.

Northern Ireland, the islands and remote areas

Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey are priced at checkout, so you get a real figure rather than a blank. The Scottish Highlands and Grampian, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight are quoted at our mainland rate, because the checkout can't tell those postcodes apart on its own.

For any of these areas a carrier surcharge occasionally comes in above what you were charged. Where the difference is big enough to matter we'll call you before dispatch to talk it through, rather than send it out and chase you afterwards. Every one of these is looked at individually and most go out at the price you paid. If you're not sure whether your postcode counts, ring us on 024 7767 5575 and we'll check while you wait.

International delivery

We ship to Europe and to most of the rest of the world, and the cost is calculated at checkout in the same way as a UK order. If your country doesn't appear, contact us, as we can often still help.

Any customs charges or import taxes due on an overseas order are your responsibility. These vary by country and we've no way of calculating them in advance.
