8kW Off-Grid Solar Kit 10.24kWh Pylontech US5000 | Conversol MAX

This 8kW off-grid solar kit pairs a Conversol MAX 8kW dual-MPPT inverter-charger with two Pylontech US5000 lithium batteries for 10.24kWh of usable storage. Ten JA Solar 450W monocrystalline panels supply 4,500W of PV capacity, with the inverter able to accept up to 8kW total PV for later expansion. Solar Assistant monitoring, DC and AC protection, cabling and the BMS communication cable are all included.

Solar off-grid kit overview

The Conversol MAX dual-MPPT design gives two independent solar string inputs. This kit fills one string at 4.5kW, leaving room for a second string of up to 3.5kW without changing the inverter, bringing total PV to the 8kW maximum input.

The Pylontech US5000 batteries run at 48VDC with a 95% depth of discharge and talk to the inverter directly through the included BMS cable, so charge and discharge management is automatic once that connection is made. Solar Assistant gives real-time and historical performance data over Wi-Fi with no ongoing subscription.

Applications

Suited to domestic off-grid systems, remote cabins, workshops, outbuildings and farm installations, and any property without a reliable grid supply. Off-grid systems of this type do not require G98 or G99 notification to the DNO, as there is no grid connection or export.

Installation notes

This kit must be installed by a qualified electrician. Battery connections, DC fusing, AC output wiring, BMS communication, earthing and ventilation must comply with IET Wiring Regulations and the manufacturers' installation guidelines. DIY installation of high-current DC or inverter systems is not recommended.
