LED Gear Tray 18W Retrofit Microwave Sensor 3CCT | Ledison

This 18W LED gear tray is a direct retrofit for 28W and 36W 2D CFL lamps, built for round ceiling and wall fittings that previously ran a fluorescent 2D lamp. It pairs energy-efficient LED lighting with a built-in Merrytek microwave sensor, giving electricians and maintenance teams a way to modernise old fittings without swapping the whole luminaire.

The integrated microwave sensor detects movement up to 12 metres away, which suits corridors, stairwells, communal areas and entrances where lights only need to run when someone is present. Detection range, switch-on time and switch-off delay are all adjustable, and the built-in photocell can be turned on or off depending on the site.

Applications

Because the corridor function reduces output rather than switching off completely, it works well in shared residential blocks, commercial corridors and internal access routes where a low background light is useful between movement events. Where dimming isn't needed, the sensor can also run in simple on/off mode.

Retrofit design

The LED board sits on a metallic tray with a compact built-in driver, a fully insulated junction box for the mains connection, and a three-way power block for switched live, neutral and earth. The 3CCT designation covers 3000K, 4000K and 5000K options.
