Product Description

The Victron Skylla-TG 24/100 (1+1) GL is a 24V battery charger rated at 100A output, built for continuous-duty marine, vehicle and industrial installations. The (1+1) configuration adds a dedicated output for a starter battery alongside the main bank, so one unit maintains both without a second charger. AC input runs from 120 to 240V, covering different supply voltages across regions.

Key features of this marine battery charger

  • Output, 100A at 24V nominal
  • Dual output, (1+1) configuration with a main bank output and a separate output for a starter or auxiliary battery
  • AC input range, 120 to 240V
  • Certification, GL
  • Housing, aluminium, for fixed installation
  • Charge algorithm, adaptive four-stage (bulk, absorption, float, storage)

Product overview

The 24/100 model sits at the top of Victron's fixed high-current charger range, delivering up to 100A into a 24V bank. That is enough for large lead-acid banks on commercial vessels, heavy vehicles, off-grid systems and industrial UPS installations. The (1+1) output keeps a starter or auxiliary battery topped up independently of the main bank.

The wide 120 to 240V AC input suits installations where supply voltage varies, or where the same unit needs to work in different countries. GL certification confirms the unit has been assessed against internationally recognised safety standards. At 9.85kg it is intended for permanent panel or bulkhead mounting rather than portable use.

The adaptive algorithm adjusts absorption time based on how long bulk charging took, reducing stress on a battery that started partially charged. Storage mode lowers the float voltage after extended charging, cutting electrolyte loss and plate corrosion over time.

Applications

Commercial and leisure vessels needing simultaneous charging of main and starter banks. Off-grid and backup systems with large 24V lead-acid banks. Heavy vehicles, coaches and motorhomes with high-capacity house batteries. Industrial UPS and standby systems. Generator-fed setups where AC supply voltage varies between 120V and 240V.

Installation notes

Fit this charger with a qualified electrician or accredited marine/electrical engineer. It operates at mains voltage and connects to large battery banks, both hazardous if wired incorrectly. Ensure the AC supply is correctly fused and DC cabling is rated for the full 100A output. Battery connections need appropriately sized cable and correctly rated DC protection. Marine installations should follow the relevant flag state and classification society requirements. Consult the Victron Skylla-TG installation manual for wiring diagrams, ventilation requirements and configuration before commissioning.
