Product Description

The Victron Skylla-TG 24/80(1+1) is a three-phase compatible battery charger built for professional and industrial use. It supplies 80A of charge current at 24V, with a (1+1) dual output configuration that charges two separate battery banks at the same time. The unit runs from a 230V AC mains supply and is intended for fixed installation rather than portable use.

Key features of this marine battery charger

  • Charge current, 80A at 24V nominal output
  • Dual output, (1+1) configuration charges two independent battery banks from one unit
  • AC input, 230V AC mains supply
  • Charge algorithm, adaptive multi-stage bulk, absorption and float phases based on battery condition
  • Temperature compensation, adjusts charge voltage for changing ambient conditions
  • VE.Bus compatible, integrates with Victron GX devices and VictronConnect for monitoring

Applications

The Skylla-TG 24/80(1+1) suits marine vessels that need to charge house and starter battery banks together, and industrial standby systems running large 24V lead-acid or gel banks. It also fits off-grid installations paired with a generator, telecoms sites needing unattended charging, and commercial vehicles or coaches with two battery banks to manage.

Installation notes

This is a fixed-installation charger and should be fitted by a qualified electrician. The AC supply needs correct fusing, and DC output cabling should be sized for 80A continuous current with correct polarity and fusing on each output. Marine installations should follow applicable ABYC or ISO wiring standards. Where the charger forms part of a VE.Bus system, set up the configuration in VictronConnect or via a compatible GX device before commissioning.
