Product Description

This Victron shore power cord runs 25 metres between a marina shore power pedestal and a vessel's onboard AC inlet. Rated 16A at 250Vac with a 3x2.5mm² conductor cross-section, it suits leisure craft, canal boats and liveaboards that need a mains feed at berth.

Key features

  • Length, 25 metres, enough to reach from pedestal to vessel without joining extension leads.
  • Rating, 16A at 250Vac, matching standard European and UK marina shore power pedestals.
  • Conductors, 3x2.5mm² cross-section, sized to carry the full 16A rated current with minimal voltage drop over the run.
  • Weight, 3.85kg, a full-length assembly ready for use.
  • Brand, made by Victron Energy for use with Victron shore power inlets and connectors.

Why a single 25m run matters

Joining shorter cords adds connection points, and each one is a place for voltage drop or connector heating to creep in under load. A single correctly rated cord avoids that. At 25 metres, a thinner conductor than 2.5mm² would show a measurable voltage drop that can affect onboard chargers and inverter-chargers, so the cross-section here is chosen to keep losses within acceptable limits across the full length. It is compatible with standard IEC 60309 (CEE) 16A blue connectors found on most European marina pedestals.

Applications

Used for marina and harbour berth connections on leisure and liveaboard vessels, canal boat and narrowboat pedestal connections, smaller craft needing a 16A shore feed, and temporary shore power during refit or winter lay-up.

Installation notes

Connection to a vessel's AC inlet should be done by a qualified marine electrician familiar with BS EN ISO 13297 for small craft electrical systems. Check that the shore pedestal breaker rating matches the cord's 16A rating before connecting, and inspect the cord, connectors and locking collar for wear, cracking or water ingress before each use.
