Product Description

A genuine Victron Energy RJ12 UTP cable for linking compatible Victron devices over a 5 metre run. It comes pre-terminated with RJ12 connectors at both ends, so installers get a correctly specified lead without crimping their own.

Key features

  • Length, 5 metres, giving room to separate devices across a panel or enclosure.
  • Connectors, RJ12 (6P6C) on both ends for direct plug-in to compatible Victron ports.
  • Cable type, UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair), suited to low-voltage data signals.
  • Weight, 0.109 kg.
  • Genuine Victron accessory, correct pinout and connector spec for Victron equipment.

Product overview

RJ12 is the 6-position, 6-conductor format Victron uses across several products for inter-device communication. Rather than sourcing and crimping individual parts on site, this cable gives a ready-made connection between two devices using that interface. The 5 m length suits setups where units are mounted apart, such as a battery monitor some distance from its shunt, or a remote display linked to a panel-mounted unit.

Applications

Used to connect Victron BMV battery monitors to remote displays, to link other Victron devices sharing an RJ12 port, or to extend an existing short run where devices sit further apart. Common in off-grid and marine installs where tidy, pre-terminated data cabling matters.

Installation notes

Check that both devices use RJ12 (6P6C) ports before ordering. RJ11 and RJ12 look alike but have different conductor counts. This cable only carries data signal, not mains or battery power, so keep it routed away from high-current DC cables to limit interference.
