The Victron Quattro 48/8000/110-100/100 is an 8000VA inverter charger built around a 48V battery bank, aimed at professional installers working on off-grid, backup and hybrid power installations across residential, commercial and marine applications. It accepts two independent AC inputs, so both shore power and a generator can be connected to the same unit.

How the Quattro differs from a MultiPlus

Where a MultiPlus manages a single AC source, the Quattro manages two independently, switching between them based on availability and priority. A generator wired as a secondary source is engaged only when mains power is absent, with no manual intervention or external changeover switch needed. The 110A charger recharges a large 48V battery bank at a meaningful rate from either AC source. PowerAssist draws any load-spike shortfall from the battery rather than risking an overloaded generator breaker, so a smaller generator can be used safely.
