The Victron MultiPlus 24/3000/70-16 pairs a 3000VA pure sine wave inverter with a 70A battery charger in one unit, built for 24V battery banks. It suits off-grid cabins, marine systems, motorhomes and backup power setups where a single device needs to handle both AC supply and charging.

Inverter charger with automatic transfer

• Inverter output, 3000VA at 230V AC, pure sine wave.
• Battery charger, 70A with an adaptive charge algorithm that adjusts to battery condition and type.
• AC transfer switch, 16A rating, switching to inverter mode in under 20 milliseconds if mains or generator supply fails.
• PowerControl, limits total current drawn from shore power or a generator to avoid overloading the source.
• PowerAssist, draws on battery power to cover demand peaks, so a smaller AC source can be used.
• Battery sensing, built-in temperature and voltage monitoring for accurate charge management.

System integration

VE.Bus communication allows multiple MultiPlus units to run in parallel or be configured for split-phase or three-phase output. The unit connects to Victron GX devices such as the Cerbo GX for monitoring through the VRM portal, and charge settings, input current limits and operating modes are configured with VEConfigure software via an MK3-USB interface or VE.Bus Smart Dongle.

Battery compatibility

Configured correctly, the charger supports lead-acid chemistries including AGM, gel and flooded batteries, as well as lithium battery banks, all on a 24V nominal system.
