Product Description

The Victron Energy stainless steel power inlet is a shore power connection point rated at 32A/250Vac in a 2-pole/3-wire configuration. It gives boats, motorhomes and off-grid cabins a weatherproof entry point for shore power, with a hinged cover to keep the socket sealed when not in use.

Key features

  • Rating, 32A/250Vac, suitable for single-phase shore power connections up to 32 amps.
  • Configuration, 2-pole/3-wire (2p/3w): live, neutral and earth.
  • Material, stainless steel, resistant to corrosion in marine and outdoor settings.
  • Cover, hinged protective cover included, sealing the inlet when shore power is disconnected.
  • Mounting, designed for flush or panel mounting on boats, caravans, motorhomes and off-grid cabins.
  • Compatibility, works with standard IEC 60309-type shore power connectors used at marinas and campsites across the UK and EU.

Product overview

This inlet forms the fixed connection point on the vessel or vehicle side of a shore power hookup. Once connected, AC supply passes through to the onboard distribution system, charger or inverter/charger. The 32A rating suits installations with meaningful continuous AC loads, such as battery chargers, air conditioning or general onboard AC distribution.

Stainless steel is favoured for marine inlets because it withstands salt spray, UV exposure and the wear of repeated plug connections. The hinged cover matters most at the hull or panel penetration, stopping water reaching internal wiring when the boat or vehicle sits disconnected from shore power.

Applications

  • Shore power inlet on sailing yachts, motorboats and canal boats.
  • Shore power connection point on motorhomes and campervans.
  • AC power entry point on off-grid cabins, site offices and portable power systems.
  • Replacement inlet on existing marine or vehicle electrical installations.

What's in the box

  • 1 x Victron Energy stainless steel power inlet 32A/250Vac (2p/3w) with hinged cover

Installation notes

Fitting should be carried out by a qualified electrician or a competent marine electrical engineer, following BS EN ISO 13297 or the relevant standard for the application. Seal the inlet correctly at the panel or hull penetration, and match the shore power supply and onboard wiring to the 32A rating. Check compliance with applicable wiring regulations for the installation type.
