Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 Inverter Charger 230V | PMP482505012

The Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 230V (PMP482505012) is a 5000VA inverter charger built around a 48V battery bank. It combines a pure sine wave inverter, a 70A battery charger and an automatic transfer switch in one unit, delivering 230V AC output for off-grid, backup and solar storage installations.

PowerAssist and PowerControl

PowerAssist draws extra current from the battery when load exceeds what a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection, can supply on its own. This stops a generator overloading or a shore breaker tripping in marine, vehicle or remote site setups. PowerControl works the other way, capping AC input draw at a set limit and sending any spare capacity to charging.

Up to six units can run in parallel for a maximum of 30kVA, or three units per phase for a three-phase configuration, useful on larger off-grid or commercial sites. Configuration and firmware updates go through VE.Bus, using a GX device or an MK3-USB interface.
