How it works

When AC input is available, the unit passes power through to connected loads while charging the battery bank at the same time. If AC input is lost, it switches to inverter mode automatically, fast enough for most computers and sensitive equipment to ride through the changeover.

VE.Bus lets multiple MultiPlus units be connected in parallel, or configured for split-phase or three-phase systems. That makes this unit useful on its own or as part of a larger installation. Paired with a Victron GX device such as the Cerbo GX, it supports full monitoring, remote configuration, and data logging through the VRM portal.

PowerControl caps the current drawn from the AC input to a limit you set, which protects weak generators or grid connections. PowerAssist takes this further: when loads exceed what the AC source can supply, the unit pulls the difference from the battery, then tops the battery back up once demand eases. A smaller generator can then handle a bigger load without tripping out.
