The Victron EasyPlus Compact 12/1600/70-16 combines an inverter and a battery charger in one compact unit for 12V DC systems with a 230V AC output. It suits marine, vehicle, off-grid and backup power installations where space is tight but reliable AC power and battery charging are both needed.

Product overview

The EasyPlus Compact shares the MultiPlus family's inverter-charger architecture. Its 12/1600/70-16 designation sets out a 12V battery input, 1600VA inverter output, 70A charger and 16A AC input current rating. The compact enclosure fits engine rooms, under-bunk lockers, vehicle conversions and small off-grid cabins where a full-size MultiPlus would not.

The three-stage adaptive charging algorithm (bulk, absorption, float) suits AGM, gel and flooded lead-acid batteries, and the unit can be configured for lithium iron phosphate batteries with the correct charge profile. VE.Bus links the unit to a Victron Color Control GX or Cerbo GX for monitoring and control, or into a larger Victron system. PowerAssist helps in marina or campsite hookup situations, where the incoming AC supply is limited: the unit tops up short-term load peaks with battery power rather than tripping the shore power breaker. Configuration is done through a VE.Bus Smart Dongle or MK3-USB interface.
