Solis 6kW Hybrid ESS Kit 10kWh Pylontech US5000 Battery

This battery energy storage kit combines the Solis 6kW hybrid inverter with two Pylontech US5000 48V lithium batteries, giving 10kWh of usable storage for home use. The system charges from the mains grid on an off-peak tariff and can take up to 6kW of solar PV input if panels are added later. Mounting brackets, cables, fusing and BMS communication are all included.

Product overview

The Solis RHI-48ES works as a grid-tied energy storage system. It charges the battery from mains electricity during cheap off-peak periods and discharges it at peak times to cut electricity costs. Solar panels can be added at any point to reduce grid dependence further.

The Pylontech US5000 batteries run at 48VDC with a 95% depth of discharge and a design life of 15 years. A BMS communication cable links the batteries to the inverter directly, so charge and discharge management runs automatically without manual setup of each battery.

A CT current transformer for zero-export control is not part of this kit and needs ordering separately if required.

Installation and safety

This kit must be installed by a qualified electrician or MCS-accredited solar installer. G98 or G99 notification and DNO approval are required before grid connection. Battery wiring, DC fusing, earthing and BMS configuration must follow IET Wiring Regulations along with the Solis and Pylontech installation manuals. DIY installation is not permitted.
