Product Description

The Victron Quattro-II 24/5000/120-50/50 (QUA242505010) is a 5000VA inverter charger built for 24V battery systems running at 230V AC. It accepts two independent 50A AC inputs, switching automatically between a generator and a grid or shore supply. It suits off-grid, marine, vehicle and backup power installations handled by professional installers.

Key features of this battery charger with inverter

  • Inverter output - 5000VA continuous at 230V AC from a 24V DC bank.
  • Battery charger - 120A multi-stage charging across bulk, absorption and float stages.
  • Dual AC inputs - two independent 50A inputs with automatic transfer between them.
  • PowerAssist and PowerControl - supplements the AC input with battery power when load exceeds supply, and limits current drawn from that input.
  • VE.Bus communication - connects to Victron monitoring and allows parallel or three-phase configuration.
  • Parallel operation - up to six units can run together, in split-phase or three-phase setups.

Applications

Fits 24V off-grid and backup installations that need high-capacity inverting and charging together. On boats, it manages shore power and generator inputs without a break in supply. It also works in large vehicles such as coaches and expedition trucks where two AC sources must be handled automatically, and in commercial sites running several units in parallel or three-phase arrangements.

System integration

VE.Bus lets the Quattro-II sit alongside MPPT charge controllers and a Cerbo GX unit in a wider Victron system, with charge parameters set through VEConfigure software and programmable relay outputs for site-specific control.

What's included

  • Victron Quattro-II 24/5000/120-50/50 230V inverter charger unit
  • Documentation and quick-start guide

Installation notes

Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. The unit weighs 31 kg, so two people are needed for mounting, and DC cabling must be rated for the high currents involved in a 24V, 5000VA system.
