LED Emergency Bulkhead Light 3W IP42 100lm | Olympia

This Olympia emergency bulkhead is a non-maintained / maintained LED exit sign fitting for indoor use, supplied with stickers and a 3-hour minimum autonomy on its Ni-Cd battery. It runs from a permanent mains supply and switches automatically to battery power if the mains fails.

Operation

Under normal conditions the LED board stays lit and a green indicator shows the battery charging. On a power cut the LED strip is fed from the battery automatically, and normal mode resumes once mains power returns. A jumper lets the installer choose between non-maintained and maintained operation.

Testing

A TEST button checks the emergency circuit without cutting the mains supply. The indicator should be checked monthly, and the full 3-hour autonomy should be tested every 6 months by removing mains power and timing the duration. If autonomy has dropped well below 3 hours, replace the battery. Disconnect the battery via its connector if the fitting will be unused for more than 2 months.
