Product overview

VE.Direct is Victron's point-to-point serial interface, used to carry data between devices such as an MPPT charge controller and a VE.Direct to USB interface, a Color Control GX, a GlobalLink 520, or a dedicated display like the MPPT Control. The cable is passive. It carries no power and needs no configuration, just a plug into each device's VE.Direct port. One cable serves one device connection; monitoring several devices from a single GX unit needs a separate cable for each.

Installation notes

This is a data cable and needs no electrical qualification to fit. Check both devices have a free VE.Direct port before ordering. Because VE.Direct is point-to-point, each connected device needs its own dedicated cable. Keep it away from high-current DC wiring where possible to avoid interference.
