Product overview

RJ12 is a 6-position, 6-contact connector format used across several Victron Energy products for data and communication wiring. This cable arrives ready-terminated, so there is no need for field crimping or custom assembly. The UTP construction uses twisted pairs to reduce interference on data lines, which matters in enclosures where other cabling sits nearby.

At 0.9 m the cable suits devices mounted close together, such as within a single enclosure or on an adjacent panel.

Applications

  • Connecting Victron battery monitors to compatible display or control units
  • Data wiring between Victron inverter/chargers and remote panels in the same enclosure
  • Short RJ12 communication links in off-grid, marine and vehicle power systems
  • Replacement or spare cable for existing Victron installations

What's in the box

  • 1 x RJ12 UTP Cable, 0.9 m

Installation notes

This cable carries data signals only, not mains or high-voltage power. Route it away from high-current DC cables where possible to reduce interference, and confirm both devices use the RJ12 (6P6C) interface before fitting. For full system work involving inverters, battery banks or grid connections, use a qualified electrician or MCS-accredited installer.
