Product Description

The Victron Phoenix Inverter 24/1200 turns 24V DC battery power into 230V AC pure sine wave output at 1200VA continuous, built for off-grid and mobile installations where clean power matters. A VE.Direct port lets it talk directly to Victron monitoring gear.

Key features

  • Output, 1200VA continuous, pure sine wave AC
  • Input, 24V DC
  • Output voltage, 230V AC via IEC socket
  • Communication, VE.Direct port for Color Control GX and BMV battery monitors
  • Protections, low battery shutdown, overload, over-temperature and short circuit
  • Weight, 6.9 kg

Why pure sine wave matters

A modified sine wave inverter can damage or misbehave with variable speed tools, medical equipment, audio gear and anything running a switch-mode power supply. The Phoenix 24/1200 avoids that with a proper sine wave output, and its IEC socket matches standard European and UK equipment plugs without adapters.

Monitoring and control

Through the VE.Direct interface the inverter can be linked into a wider Victron system: remote on/off, data logging and monitoring via a GX device, or configuration from a phone or laptop using the VictronConnect app with a VE.Direct to USB interface.

Applications

  • Off-grid cabins and remote buildings running on a 24V battery bank
  • Marine installations on 24V yachts and motorboats
  • Campervan, motorhome and commercial vehicle conversions
  • Backup power for communications or medical equipment
  • Mobile workshops and site power needing a clean sine wave for tools and electronics

Installation notes

Fitting should be carried out by a qualified electrician or experienced system integrator. DC cabling needs correct fusing and sizing for the current draw at 24V, and the IEC output should not be wired directly into fixed building circuits without proper isolation and protection. Keep the unit ventilated to avoid thermal shutdown under sustained load, and check G98 or G99 compliance where the installation is grid-tied or grid-backup.
