Product Description

The Victron Inverter 24/3000 230V VE.Bus converts 24V DC battery power into 3000VA of pure sine wave 230V AC. Built for off-grid and backup power systems, it suits marine, vehicle, telecom and off-grid energy installations where reliable AC output matters.

Key features

  • Output, 3000VA continuous at 230V AC from a 24V DC battery bank.
  • Waveform, pure sine wave, suitable for sensitive electronics and motor loads.
  • VE.Bus interface, enables system integration, parallel operation and remote configuration via Victron GX devices.
  • Expandable, supports parallel and three-phase configuration with other compatible Victron inverters.
  • Programmable relay, for generator start, alarm or load-shedding functions.
  • Battery protection, low voltage shutdown, temperature compensation and overload protection built in.

Product overview

The 24/3000 sits in the mid-range of the Victron inverter line, delivering 3000VA from a 24V battery system. Its VE.Bus port sets it apart from simpler models, letting it network with Victron Quattro or MultiPlus units, stack in parallel, or run in a three-phase arrangement. This gives installers room to scale a system without oversizing a single unit from day one.

Pure sine wave output means it handles inductive loads such as motors, pumps and compressors alongside electronics that would struggle on a modified sine wave supply. Low voltage disconnect protects the battery bank from deep discharge, and temperature-compensated voltage thresholds keep accuracy consistent as conditions change.

VE.Bus also supports remote monitoring through Victron's GX device ecosystem, including the Cerbo GX and Color Control GX, with system data viewable through the VRM online portal for installations where a site visit is not practical.

Applications

Used in off-grid cabins and homes with 24V battery banks, marine and narrowboat electrics, motorhome and expedition vehicle conversions, telecom backup power, and larger systems planned for parallel or three-phase expansion. It also fits industrial and commercial backup setups where VE.Bus integration is required.

Installation notes

This unit runs at high DC currents and should be installed by a qualified electrician or experienced system integrator. Correct cable sizing, fusing and battery connection torque matter for safe operation. VE.Bus configuration needs Victron VE.Configure software and a suitable interface cable or MK3-USB adapter. It is not a grid-tied inverter and does not hold G98 or G99 approval; any grid or generator-integrated setup must follow current UK wiring regulations.
