The Victron Lithium SuperPack 12.8V/60Ah is a self-contained LiFePO4 battery with a built-in Battery Management System, aimed at installers who need a ready-to-use lithium battery without designing a separate BMS into the system.

Product overview

The SuperPack range differs from Victron's standard Smart Lithium batteries in that the BMS sits fully inside the battery casing. There is no need for external cell balancing wiring or a separate VE.Bus BMS, which simplifies the bill of materials for a single-battery system.

LiFePO4 chemistry allows a higher depth of discharge than lead-acid, so the rated 60Ah is genuinely usable. The flat discharge curve keeps voltage stable across most of the cycle, which suits inverters and loads sensitive to voltage sag. M6 threaded terminals suit ring-terminal cabling as used in marine and vehicle wiring.

Suited to marine house battery banks, motorhome and campervan leisure batteries, off-grid cabins, telecoms and security backup power, portable power stations, and as a retrofit replacement for 12V lead-acid batteries.

Installation notes

Installation should be carried out by someone familiar with lithium battery systems. Cabling must be rated for the maximum discharge current, with fusing fitted close to the battery terminal. The SuperPack is not designed for series connection to achieve higher voltages, and any charger or solar charge controller must be set to LiFePO4 parameters. Do not install in a sealed, unventilated enclosure.
