Product Description

The Victron LiFePO4 Battery 12.8V 150Ah NG is a lithium iron phosphate battery from Victron Energy's NG (New Generation) range, built for solar, off-grid, marine and vehicle systems that need a lightweight replacement for lead-acid. It stores 1920Wh of nominal energy at 25°C and weighs 14.7 kg.

Battery management

Charge voltage sits between 14V and 14.2V, with a float voltage of 13.5V. The NG series works with the Lynx Smart BMS NG for cell-level balancing, over-charge, over-discharge and temperature protection, with Bluetooth built into the BMS for monitoring through VictronConnect. Firmware updates to the battery are handled automatically by the BMS, and the unit is repairable, with a cover that can be removed with screws.

Charging notes

Use a charger or inverter/charger set to a lithium-compatible profile rather than lead-acid parameters. Multiple batteries can be connected within the limits of the BMS to build larger banks; plan parallel or series configurations carefully so charging stays balanced across every unit.

Applications

Suits off-grid solar storage on 12V or 24V banks, marine house battery banks, motorhome and campervan auxiliary power, portable off-grid setups, and backup power for telecoms or small commercial installations. At 14.7 kg it is considerably lighter to handle than a lead-acid battery of similar capacity, which matters in marine and vehicle installs where weight and space are limited.
