The Victron Inverter 24/800 converts 24V DC battery power into 230V AC at up to 800VA, producing a pure sine wave output suited to off-grid, marine and vehicle power systems. A VE.Direct port allows direct communication with compatible Victron monitoring equipment.

Applications

The 24V input suits battery systems found in larger off-grid setups, commercial vehicles and marine installations. At 800VA it can run lighting circuits, small power tools, laptops and televisions. Pure sine wave output avoids the overheating and efficiency problems that modified sine wave inverters can cause with variable speed motors or switched-mode power supplies.

Victron system integration

The VE.Direct interface lets the inverter communicate with the wider Victron ecosystem, including GX devices for monitoring and data logging. A VE.Direct cable is required separately for this integration. The IEC output connector avoids the need for custom terminations on the AC side.

Installation notes

Connect to a correctly fused, appropriately rated 24V battery system, with DC cable sizing and fusing following the manufacturer's guidelines and relevant wiring regulations. AC output is at mains voltage and must be wired by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671. This inverter is not grid-tied and does not require G98 or G99 notification.
