Product Description

The VE.Direct non-inverting remote on-off cable lets you control compatible Victron Energy devices externally through the VE.Direct port. It suits installers who need to switch a device on or off remotely without inverting the logic signal, so control behaviour stays straightforward.

Key features

  • Logic type, non-inverting: a high signal on the control input turns the device on, a low signal turns it off, matching standard remote switching conventions.
  • Connection, plugs directly into the VE.Direct port on compatible Victron devices, no extra interface hardware needed.
  • Weight, 0.11 kg, suitable for compact panel builds and enclosure installations.
  • Compatibility, works with Victron devices that support remote on-off control via the VE.Direct interface.
  • Identifiers, SKU ASS030550320, GTIN 8719076036494, supplied as a ready-to-use cable assembly.

Product overview

The VE.Direct port on Victron devices carries communication data alongside remote control signals. This cable exposes the remote on-off lines so an external switch, relay or control signal can start or stop the connected device. Because the configuration is non-inverting, the logic follows the input directly, with no inversion circuitry needed in the control wiring.

That makes it useful in automated systems where a battery management system, a programmable logic controller, or a simple manual switch needs to control a Victron MPPT charger or similar device. Using the VE.Direct port for this keeps power wiring untouched, which means a tidier install and fewer places for wiring mistakes to creep in.

Applications

  • Remote on-off control of Victron MPPT solar charge controllers in off-grid and marine installations.
  • Integration with external BMS or relay outputs to automate switching based on battery state.
  • Manual remote switching of Victron devices from a panel-mounted switch without interrupting power cables.
  • Automated control in campervan, narrowboat and off-grid cabin systems where a PLC or timer manages charge cycles.

What's in the box

  • 1 x VE.Direct non-inverting remote on-off cable (ASS030550320)

Installation notes

Check that the target Victron device supports remote on-off control via its VE.Direct port before fitting. Connect the control input to a signal source within the voltage range specified for that device. This is a low-voltage accessory, but it should still be fitted as part of a wider system by a qualified electrician familiar with Victron equipment. Grid-connected or high-voltage battery installations require a qualified installer.
