Applications

The right angle end reduces the clearance needed behind a device, which helps in flush-mounted enclosures, narrow battery cabinets or anywhere a straight exit would strain the cable or block a panel door. Typical uses include connecting an MPPT controller to a Color Control GX or Cerbo GX in a compact enclosure, linking a BMV battery monitor to a GX device or VE.Direct to USB interface, or wiring a Phoenix inverter to a monitoring display where space is limited. It also suits off-grid battery cabinets, narrowboats, motorhomes and marine installations.

Installation notes

This cable carries data only; it does not supply power to connected devices. Power down both devices before connecting or disconnecting, since VE.Direct ports are not hot-swap rated on all equipment. Check the relevant device documentation first. No special electrical qualification is needed to fit this cable, though the wider installation, inverters, charge controllers and battery connections, should be handled by a qualified electrician or competent person.
