Product Description
The SMA Sunny Tripower X 15kW is a three phase grid-tied solar inverter built for commercial PV systems and larger residential installations. Three independent MPP trackers, a maximum input voltage of 1000VDC and an IP65 enclosure give it a specified platform for demanding solar projects.

Product overview
This 15kW model sits within the Sunny Tripower X range, which spans 12kW to 25kW on a shared platform and installation footprint. The three MPP trackers let strings on different roof orientations or with different shading run independently, which helps yield across complex arrays. The system manager removes the need for a separate monitoring device on smaller commercial sites, coordinating up to five inverters, and connects directly to Sunny Portal via ennexOS for remote monitoring.
Applications
Commercial rooftop and ground-mounted PV, larger residential systems, multi-inverter installations with centralised monitoring, and sites with partial shading or multiple roof orientations.
Installation and safety notes
Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrical engineer or MCS-accredited solar installer. G99 notification and DNO approval are required at this power level in the UK. DC wiring, string fusing, AC protection and earthing must follow IET Wiring Regulations and SMA's installation manual, with commissioning via SMA tools before operation.
