Product Description

This plug in solar kit pairs two JA Solar 465W full black panels with an 800VA dual MPPT micro inverter, giving you a self contained solar system for a balcony, garden, patio, terrace, garage or garden office. No scaffolding, no roof work and no installer required, just a single fixed socket outlet connection.

Solar panel with micro inverter, sized for real British weather

The kit runs 930W of panel capacity behind an 800VA inverter. That extra DC headroom means the system reaches full AC output earlier in the morning, holds it later into the afternoon and copes better with overcast conditions, which is when most UK generation actually happens.

  • Panels, 2 x JA Solar 465W full black solar panels, 930W total capacity
  • Inverter output, 800VA maximum AC output, 230V single phase at 50Hz
  • MPPT tracking, two independent MPPT trackers, one per panel
  • Output current, maximum AC output current of 3.5A
  • Safety, anti islanding protection disconnects the inverter automatically if the mains supply fails
  • Enclosure, IP67 weather resistant micro inverter housing
  • Monitoring, optional Wi-Fi or PLCC monitoring depending on the inverter version selected

Why two MPPT trackers matter

Each panel connects to its own MPPT input, so one panel operates independently of the other. If a railing, downpipe or neighbouring building shades one panel, the second keeps working at its own optimum output rather than being dragged down. On a balcony or in a garden, where shading is rarely even, that matters more than raw panel wattage.

Installation and use

The panels mount on a balcony, wall, fence structure, flat roof or ground frame using the included brackets. Low voltage DC runs from the panels to the micro inverter, which converts it to mains voltage AC and feeds it into your existing electrical supply through a single socket outlet. This is a solar only system: no battery storage is included, and none may be connected. Generation depends on location, orientation, shading and weather.
