Dual MPPT: one solar panel per input

Each JA Solar panel connects to its own MPPT input, so the microinverter tracks each module separately. If one panel sees partial shade or faces a different angle, the other keeps producing at its own optimum point rather than being pulled down with it. That makes this kit suited to gardens, balconies, garages and outbuildings where the two panels rarely receive identical light.

Why 930W of panels feeds an 800W inverter

Panel wattage is measured under lab test conditions that UK weather rarely matches. Running 930W of solar capacity into an 800W microinverter helps the system reach its rated AC output more often through cloud, low sun angles and mornings and evenings. When the panels do produce more than the inverter can convert, the HMS-800-2WB simply caps its AC output at its rated maximum.
