The Ledison 240W LED Shower High/Low Bay Light is a showerhead-style fitting built to replace 400W metal halide and high-pressure sodium lamps. It uses Philips SMD3030 LED chips on a copper-based board and puts out 30,000 lumen. The aluminium die-cast housing carries the power supply on top, and a finned heatsink moves heat away from the chips by natural convection, with a gap left between the driver and light engine to keep air moving and avoid hot spots.

It runs on 100-265Volt at 50/60Hz and ships with pre-installed cables and eye hooks for hanging. The default beam angle is 110 degrees; a narrower 60 degree option is available on request and can lift lux levels by up to 20% where a tighter spread is needed.

Applications

This UFO-style bay light suits commercial and industrial spaces, covering ceilings from 3 metres up to 15 metres depending on beam angle and mounting height. Its shape and finish are aimed at warehouses, workshops and similar high-ceiling areas where metal halide or sodium fittings are being replaced.

Dimming and sensor options

The fitting can be specified with DALI dimming or an emergency battery pack using Ni-Cd cells. A Hytronik microwave sensor (MC054 RC + MH01) can also be fitted, switching the light on when movement is detected within a 15 metre range. Detection range and hold-on time are adjusted with a remote control, so there is no need to use lifting equipment to reach the fitting once it is installed. When paired with a 1-10V LED driver, the sensor also supports automatic dimming.
