Product Description

The Voltacon InfiniSolar 15kW is a three phase hybrid solar inverter built for commercial buildings, farms and large residential properties that need 400V three phase output alongside 48V battery storage. It is G99 approved and IP65 rated, and it runs in grid-tie, off-grid or hybrid mode from a single unit, with a touchscreen HMI for commissioning and day to day control.

Design and operation

In grid-tie mode the inverter delivers up to 15kW at 230VAC per phase, with a power factor above 0.99 and maximum DC to AC conversion efficiency above 96%. The dual MPPT design accepts two string inputs per tracker, which covers a range of PV array layouts.

Off-grid and hybrid operation draws from a 48VDC battery bank (40 to 62VDC) and produces pure sine wave output at 230VAC per phase. The 300A adjustable charging current suits systems with large battery banks, whether charging from PV or from the grid. A dual AC output lets one output carry priority loads while the second handles non-critical loads, which helps manage battery draw. The unit also supports 150% unbalanced load across the three phases, dual AC outputs, parallel operation for up to 6 units, built-in Wi-Fi monitoring, and RS485 BMS with CAN interface for lithium battery communication.

Applications

Suited to commercial and industrial buildings on a three phase supply, farms and rural properties, large residential properties needing full-house backup, self-consumption systems with export management, and multi-unit parallel installations for higher capacity.

Installation and safety

Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrical engineer or MCS-accredited solar installer. G99 applications require DNO notification and approval before connection. Wiring, battery connections, DC isolation and earthing must comply with IET Wiring Regulations and BS 7671.
