Product Description

The Victron 12V 110Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery is a sealed, maintenance-free lead-acid battery rated at C20 capacity. It suits cyclic use in solar, off-grid, marine and backup power systems that need reliable deep discharge performance.

Key features

  • Capacity, 110Ah rated at the C20 discharge rate, suited to deep cycle use.
  • Construction, Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) design holds the electrolyte in place, avoiding spillage and topping up.
  • Sealed VRLA design, can be installed in any orientation except upside down.
  • Self-discharge, low rate, suiting standby and seasonal use.
  • Charger compatibility, works with Victron MPPT charge controllers, MultiPlus and Quattro inverter/chargers when set to the correct AGM charge profile.
  • Voltage and weight, 12V nominal, 30kg.

Product overview

A glass mat separator keeps the electrolyte in place rather than letting it flood freely, which cuts gassing during normal operation. That makes the battery a safer choice for enclosed spaces such as boat lockers, caravan compartments and off-grid cabins, with no risk of acid spill in transit or during fitting.

At 110Ah (C20), a single unit gives a 12V system 1.32kWh of theoretical capacity. Usable capacity depends on the depth of discharge set by the system designer; for AGM batteries a maximum of 50% depth of discharge is generally recommended to protect cycle life. Pairing the battery with a Victron MPPT or inverter/charger set to the AGM algorithm ensures correct absorption and float voltages.

Applications

Solar off-grid storage for homes, farms and remote sites; marine house battery banks; caravan and motorhome leisure systems; UPS and backup power for telecoms and security equipment; and 12V battery banks built from multiple units in series or parallel.

Installation notes

Fitting should be carried out by someone familiar with lead-acid battery systems, using correctly rated fusing and cabling. Batteries connected in parallel or series should be matched for age, capacity and state of charge, and a qualified installer is recommended when integrating with a solar or inverter system.
