Product Description

This 600W plug in solar panel kit pairs a 625W Elite Solar N-Type bifacial dual glass solar panel with the Voltacon BYM600 single MPPT microinverter, giving a self-contained system for balconies, gardens, patios, terraces and suitable outbuildings. Position the panel, connect it to the microinverter, and plug the supplied AC lead into a fixed UK socket outlet.

Solar panel with micro inverter for everyday UK conditions

The 625W panel is matched to the 600W-rated microinverter so the system reaches useful output earlier in the day and holds generation better during cloudy or lower-light periods. Because the panel is bifacial, it can also pick up reflected light through its rear surface when mounted with clearance above the ground.

How it works

During daylight hours the panel produces DC electricity, which the BYM600 converts to 230V AC and synchronises with the household supply. Appliances draw from the solar output first, with any shortfall taken from the grid automatically, and any surplus generation above the microinverter's own rating is simply capped without affecting the panel or inverter.

Applications

Suited to continuous daytime loads such as fridges, routers, home computing equipment, standby loads, and appliances run during daylight hours in gardens, workshops or garden offices. No battery is required, and the low-voltage DC connection runs between panel and microinverter only.
