DC and AC protection devices for solar photovoltaic systems, covering everything needed to protect an inverter, batteries and panels from fault conditions.

PV combiner boxes bring together DC fuses, DC isolators and cable glands on a standard DIN rail, letting you protect multiple parallel strings in a solar array from one enclosure. String fuses and holders from GAVE Electro are rated at 1000V in 12A, 15A and 20A versions, with terminals accepting up to 10mm² flexible or 16mm² solid cable, and are built to interrupt the low-fault currents typical of PV arrays.

Kraus & Naimer DC isolators give you manual isolation between the PV array and inverter on grid-tied and off-grid systems, fitted close to the inverter and sized against the string's Voc and Isc figures. AC isolators from the same range provide manual isolation between inverter and grid or AC loads, fitted next to the consumer unit as required on every installation. Arc fault circuit interruption combiner boxes are also included for installations that need this extra layer of protection.
