Product Description

A pre-terminated solar cable from Victron Energy, 5 metres long with a 4mm² conductor cross-section, fitted with MC4-compatible male and female connectors of the PV-ST01 type. It links solar panels to combiner boxes, charge controllers or other parts of a PV system, and suits both residential and commercial installations.

Applications

Use it to extend or interconnect solar panel strings on a roof, to wire an individual panel to a combiner box or DC isolator, or as a weatherproof cable run in an off-grid, mobile or marine system built around a Victron MPPT controller. The male and female ends on the same cable also make it suitable as a direct interconnect between two PV components.

Installation notes

DC solar wiring should be carried out by a qualified electrician or MCS-accredited installer. Check the cable rating against the short-circuit current of the array before fitting it. MC4 connectors should only be mated or separated with the correct disconnect tool, and never under load. Grid-connected UK systems must meet BS 7671 and any applicable G98 or G99 network operator conditions.
