Product Description

This Victron Energy RJ45 UTP cable connects compatible Victron devices through their RJ45 communication ports. At 1.8 m long, it suits panel, cabinet and wall-mounted setups where the units sit close together.

Key features

  • Length, 1.8 m
  • Connectors, RJ45 at both ends
  • Cable type, UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair)
  • Weight, 0.075 kg
  • Compatibility, VE.Bus and VE.Net ports on Victron equipment

Product overview

Many Victron inverters, chargers, battery monitors and system panels use RJ45 ports with standard UTP cabling. This cable gives a direct plug-and-play connection between those ports, so there is no need to crimp a custom lead or gamble on a generic patch cable with the wrong pinout.

The 1.8 m length works for most rack, cabinet or wall-panel jobs where the devices are mounted near each other. Victron also offers longer lengths for runs between separate enclosures or rooms. Because this is a low-voltage signal cable, it should be routed away from high-current DC or AC conductors where practical.

Applications

  • Connecting a MultiPlus or Quattro inverter/charger to a Color Control GX or Cerbo GX
  • Linking a BMV battery monitor to a system display panel
  • Communication links within a VE.Bus network in off-grid systems
  • Replacing a lost or damaged cable in an existing Victron installation
  • Short-run connections in marine, motorhome and vehicle power systems

What's in the box

  • 1 x Victron Energy RJ45 UTP Cable, 1.8 m

Installation notes

This cable carries low-voltage communication signals only, not mains or high-voltage DC power. It can be fitted or removed without specialist electrical qualifications. Keep it clear of high-current cabling where you can, and check the correct port and pinout on each device against the Victron manual before connecting.
