Product overview

The Orion IP67 range is built for locations where a standard open-frame converter would fail. The sealed enclosure withstands submersion in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes, which suits under-bonnet vehicle mounting, boat bilge areas, caravans and outdoor enclosures exposed to condensation or rain.

Because the design is non-isolated, the input and output grounds are common. That keeps the unit compact and efficient, and it works well for powering 12V accessories, lighting or control electronics from a 24V vehicle or battery bank. It is not suitable where galvanic isolation between the two voltage rails is required.
