Product Description

The Victron MIDI Fuse 40A/58V M6 is a blade-style DC fuse built for 12V, 24V and 48V battery systems. It comes in packs of five and uses an M6 bolt termination, making it a common choice for installers wiring solar, off-grid and marine DC circuits.

Key features

  • Current rating, 40A
  • Voltage rating, 58V DC, suitable for 12V, 24V and 48V battery systems
  • Termination, M6 bolt for a firm connection in MIDI fuseholders
  • Form factor, MIDI, fits standard MIDI fuseholders including Victron's own range
  • Pack quantity, 5 fuses
  • Weight, 0.015 kg per pack

Applications

This fuse protects DC cabling feeding inverters, charge controllers or distribution busbars in smaller off-grid systems. The 58V rating gives headroom for 48V battery banks, including lithium setups that can sit at higher resting voltages. Marine and motorhome DC panels that specify MIDI fuses are another common fit, along with commissioning or servicing spares for existing installations.

Choosing the right rating

A fuse must protect the cable, not just the connected load. Before fitting, check that the 40A rating matches the ampacity of the cable actually installed, rather than sizing to the equipment alone.

What's in the box

  • 5 x Victron MIDI Fuse 40A/58V M6

Installation notes

Fit only into a MIDI fuseholder rated for the circuit's voltage and current, and torque the M6 bolt to the fuseholder manufacturer's specification. These fuses are not rated for use above 120V DC, and installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
