Product Description

The Victron Lynx Shunt VE.Can (M8), model LYN040102100, is a DC distribution and battery monitoring module built for Victron's modular Lynx system. It uses M8 connections and pairs with a GX device to give real time information on battery charge and discharge.

Key features of the Victron Lynx Shunt M8

  • Integrated busbars: positive and negative busbars manage current flow within the unit.
  • Fuse space: a battery monitor sits alongside space for a main system fuse, protecting against overloads and faults.
  • VE.Can communication: connects to a GX device so battery data can be viewed through the VRM portal or a compatible display.
  • VE.Can terminators: two RJ45 VE.Can terminators are included for a secure connection to the battery system.
  • Current rating: handles a continuous current of up to 1000 Amps.
  • CNN fuse support: accepts CNN fuses, sold separately, for extra system flexibility.

Part of the Lynx Distribution System

The Lynx Shunt VE.Can works alongside the Lynx Power In and Lynx Distributor modules to build a complete DC distribution system. Together they simplify how batteries, inverters and other equipment are connected in off-grid and on-grid installations.

Battery monitoring in use

Once wired into a GX device, the shunt tracks state of charge continuously, giving installers a clear view of how a battery bank is performing without additional monitoring hardware.
