The Victron LiFePO4 25.6V 300Ah NG is a lithium iron phosphate battery from Victron's NG (New Generation) range, delivering 7.68kWh of energy from a single 25.6V unit. Built for off-grid systems, marine installs and large mobile power setups where depth of discharge and cycle life matter.

Product overview

LiFePO4 chemistry does not undergo thermal runaway under normal fault conditions, which is why it suits enclosed spaces such as boats, vehicles and battery rooms. Its flat discharge curve keeps voltage consistent through most of the discharge cycle, helping inverter efficiency and load performance.

At 300Ah, one unit covers medium-to-large off-grid loads without the need to manage multiple parallel batteries. The BMS handles cell-level protection on its own, though any connected charger or inverter/charger still needs its charge parameters set to the LiFePO4 profile Victron specifies. The NG designation marks this as part of Victron's updated lithium range, with improved BMS communication over earlier Victron lithium products, integrating with existing Victron monitoring and control setups.

Installation notes

Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or accredited installer experienced with lithium battery systems. At 55kg, safe handling equipment is needed. Charge parameters on all connected chargers and inverter/chargers must be set to Victron's LiFePO4 profile before commissioning, and this battery should not be mixed with lead-acid or other lithium chemistries in the same bank.
