Product Description

This cable connects a Victron device fitted with a VE.Can port directly to an NMEA 2000 network backbone, using a Micro-C male connector on the NMEA 2000 end. It plugs straight into a standard Micro-C T-piece or backbone drop point, with no extra adaptor or gateway needed.

Key features

  • Connectors, VE.Can on the Victron device end, Micro-C male on the NMEA 2000 end.
  • Compatibility, fits standard Micro-C backbone sockets and T-pieces.
  • Weight, 59 g (0.059 kg).
  • Part number, Victron ASS030520200.
  • GTIN, 8719076019534.

Product overview

VE.Can is the CAN-bus interface used on Victron products such as MultiPlus-II, Quattro, Cerbo GX and various MPPT charge controllers. NMEA 2000 is the marine standard for linking onboard electronics like chartplotters and displays. This cable bridges the two, letting Victron data such as battery state, inverter status and charger data appear on an NMEA 2000 network without a separate gateway.

Applications

  • Integrating a Cerbo GX or CCGX into a vessel's NMEA 2000 network for system-wide monitoring.
  • Showing Victron battery, inverter or charger data on a compatible marine chartplotter or multifunction display.
  • Marine off-grid and hybrid power systems where Victron equipment needs to talk to existing onboard electronics.
  • Sailing and motor vessel installations that need power and navigation data pulled together.

What's in the box

  • 1 x VE.Can to NMEA 2000 Micro-C male cable

Installation notes

Fitting should be carried out by someone familiar with both NMEA 2000 topology and VE.Can configuration. Check the network backbone is correctly terminated at both ends before adding drop devices, and confirm the VE.Can port is enabled in VictronConnect or Venus OS before connecting.
