Product Description

The Voltasol 15kW is a three-phase hybrid solar inverter built for on-grid and off-grid use with battery energy storage. It runs on a 48V DC battery input, uses dual MPPT with up to 22.5kW of PV input, and works with Pylontech lithium and lead-acid batteries. A three-phase energy meter, Wi-Fi card, and Modbus card are supplied as standard, and the unit can be expanded to 90kW when units are paralleled.

Product overview

This inverter suits commercial and large residential installations that need a high-output hybrid system with battery backup. Solar generation, battery storage, and grid connection sit in one unit, which helps maximise self-consumption and gives backup power during grid outages.

The 22.5kW maximum PV input allows the solar array to be sized larger than the inverter's rated output, useful during lower irradiance periods. A 300A maximum charging current supports fast charging of a large Pylontech or lead-acid battery bank from either solar or grid.

Up to 6 units can run in parallel to build three-phase systems as large as 90kW, without stepping up to a single larger inverter. The communication boards needed for parallel operation come included.

Installation notes

This is a three-phase hybrid inverter and must be installed by a qualified electrician or MCS-accredited solar installer. Battery storage systems should follow BS EN 62619 and local building regulations, and three-phase grid connection requires a G99 application with DNO approval. Correct cable sizing, fusing, isolators, surge protection, and earthing all need to be in place. This is not a DIY installation.
