Solar Assistant Orange Pi Controller & 32GB SD Card | Voltacon

The Solar Assistant Orange Pi Controller comes with the Solar Assistant software pre-installed on an Orange Pi LTS single-board computer, ready to use straight out of the box. There is no subscription or annual fee: the licence is included, along with a 32GB MicroSD card carrying the pre-loaded software. It monitors inverters, battery systems and Victron SmartShunt resistors in real time, viewable from any browser or the Solar Assistant mobile app.

Power supply options

Option A powers the unit directly from the battery at 9V to 60V DC, suitable for 12V, 24V and 48V systems, and keeps monitoring running through AC loss or an inverter fault. It outputs 5V/3A via USB-C on a 2.5m cable. Option B is a standard USB-C mains adapter for 230V operation around the clock.

Installation notes

Connect the supplied cable to the inverter communication port, then join the unit to your network by Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The Solar Assistant interface is reachable from any browser on that network. RS485 cables for Pylontech and Pytes batteries are sold separately.
