Product Description

The FC0500M-40S is the Battery Management Unit (BMU) for the Pylontech Force H2 high voltage lithium iron phosphate battery system, also listed as FC0500M-40S-FH2 or FC0500M-40S-V2 depending on kit version. It sits at the top of every Force H2 stack and is essential for correct operation of the tower.

Pylontech Force H2 battery tower control

  • Monitoring and protection, voltage, current, temperature and fault management across the battery tower.
  • Communication, links the battery tower to the inverter via CAN or RS485.
  • System control, start button, status LEDs and internal relay management.
  • Parallel operation, link ports allow multiple Force H2 towers to be daisy-chained with one tower acting as master.

Tower configuration

One BMU is required per tower. A standard Force H2 tower is built from 2 to 4 battery modules in series. Each module operates at 96V, so a 4-module tower runs at 384VDC. A minimum of 2 modules per tower is needed for normal operation.

Applications

Used in high voltage lithium battery storage installations built on the Pylontech Force H2 platform, including systems where multiple towers run in parallel with correct wiring, communication linking and a suitable DC combiner solution.

Installation notes

The Force H2 system operates between 192V and 384VDC depending on configuration. Installation, wiring and commissioning must only be carried out by a qualified electrical engineer experienced with high-voltage battery storage systems, in line with Pylontech's installation manual and IET Wiring Regulations.
