Product Description

The Conversol V7 is a 5kW off-grid solar inverter and battery charger built around a 100A MPPT controller with a 120-450V DC PV input range. It switches between grid, solar, and battery supply with zero (0ms) transfer time, so equipment that cannot tolerate a break in power keeps running. Built-in Wi-Fi gives remote monitoring through a mobile app, and the unit accepts lithium-ion batteries via RS485 or CAN-BUS BMS communication.

Product overview

This is an upgrade on the earlier V5 Super, carrying a higher-amperage MPPT charger and zero millisecond transfer switching. The wider 120-450V DC input range allows longer PV strings, which cuts down on the number of parallel strings and simplifies cabling on larger arrays. The LCD control module is removable and can be wall-mounted away from the inverter itself, while the Wi-Fi app handles monitoring from anywhere with an internet connection. AC or solar input priority is configurable from the LCD.

Applications

Suits off-grid homes, farms and workshops, and any installation where critical loads such as servers or security systems cannot tolerate an interruption in supply. The high PV input voltage range and parallel capability also make it suitable for larger or scalable off-grid systems.

Installation notes

Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or solar installer. PV string voltage must not exceed 450V DC under any expected temperature condition, and open-circuit voltage should be checked at minimum expected temperature before commissioning. Battery systems must comply with BS EN 62619 and local building regulations.
