Product Description

The Conversol MAX-III is an 11kW 48V off-grid solar inverter built for single-phase hybrid systems that combine solar, battery and grid or generator power. It outputs 230V pure sine wave power, accepts up to 12kW of solar PV input through dual MPPT charge controllers, and switches automatically between solar, grid and battery sources depending on what is available.

Key features

A built-in CT sensor tracks grid import and export in real time so the inverter can prioritise self-consumption before drawing from the grid. A grid-support function lets the unit supplement a limited grid supply during peak periods without needing a utility upgrade. Output 1 stays live at all times, while Output 2 can be managed separately, useful for controlling appliances like water heaters or EV chargers away from the critical circuit.

The front cover slides open for tool-free access to all DC and AC terminals, which are clearly labelled to reduce wiring errors during installation or maintenance. Integrated AC and DC breakers plus a PV disconnect come fitted as standard, along with a reinforced wall-mount bracket. The unit has 12 user-configurable settings on a single screen with LED status indicators. Warranty is 2 years.

Applications

Suited to off-grid homes, farms and remote buildings, hybrid systems combining solar, battery and grid or generator backup, sites with limited grid import capacity, and larger installations where up to 6 units are paralleled for extra capacity.

Installation notes

Installation must be carried out by a qualified installer. Battery type and charging parameters need setting before commissioning. For grid-connected use in the UK, comply with G98 or G99 regulations, and ensure all DC wiring, fusing and earthing meet current wiring regulations.
