The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 (SCC075015060R) is a maximum power point tracking solar charge controller rated for a 75V PV input and 15A charge current. It suits small off-grid systems, campervans, boats and remote installations where efficient solar charging matters without extra complexity.

How it works

The controller continuously adjusts to hold the solar array at its optimal operating point, recovering more energy than a PWM controller, particularly in cold weather or when panel voltage sits well above battery voltage. A VE.Direct port allows wired connection to Victron display units or GX devices for system-level monitoring, alongside the wireless Bluetooth link.

Fits campervans, motorhomes and caravans running one or two solar panels, narrowboats and other leisure marine installations, small off-grid cabins or garden buildings, remote monitoring stations, portable and expedition solar setups, and rural installations with modest power needs.

Installation notes

Fitting should be done by a competent installer familiar with DC solar systems. PV open-circuit voltage must not exceed 75V under any condition, including cold temperatures. Select the correct battery chemistry profile before commissioning, and for lithium batteries confirm compatibility with the battery's BMS before enabling charge. The unit is not grid-connected and does not require G98 or G99 compliance. VE.Direct accessories are sold separately.
