Product overview

MC4 is the current standard for solar panel wiring; MC3 was common on earlier installations and legacy charge controllers. Where the two meet, a direct connection is not possible without an adapter like this one. The male MC4 end accepts the female MC4 connector found on most modern panels and extension cables, while the female MC3 end plugs into the male MC3 output of older gear. The orientation is fixed, so check connector genders on your own equipment before ordering.

Installation notes
