Product Description
The Elios 5000W solar grid tie inverter turns DC power from a solar array into 230V/50Hz AC for use in the property or export to the grid. It uses high-efficiency MPPT tracking, gives a pure sine wave output, and carries an IP65 rating for outdoor mounting. A fanless design keeps operation quiet, and built-in anti-islanding protection disconnects the unit automatically if the grid fails.

Export control and grid safety
Anti-islanding protection shuts the inverter down automatically on grid failure, stopping backfeed to the network. Where a DNO requires export limitation, the included current sensor clamp measures household consumption in real time and modulates output between 0W and 5kW, with the option to set export to zero. AC input priority is configurable via the LCD.
Applications
Suited to residential and small commercial on-grid solar PV systems, including installations where export limiting is required by the DNO, and outdoor locations where the IP65 rating matters.
Installation notes
This is grid-connected equipment and must be installed by a qualified electrician or solar installer. UK installations must meet G98 or G99 notification requirements, with DC isolators, AC protection and earthing carried out to BS 7671 and MCS standards. Not for DIY installation.
